Blue Sky Maritime Coalition members recognize the need to address global economic and emissions challenges and accelerating innovation and efficiency are the right thing to do, and are corporate responsibility at their core.
We are committed to accelerating the transition of waterborne transportation in Canada and the United States toward greater efficiencies, lower costs and emissions, and maximum waterborne trade volumes.
What We Do
The Coalition acts to accelerate the U.S. and Canada maritime value chain's pathway to economically sustainable net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by jointly developing and executing a practical roadmap to a commercially viable net-zero logistics value chain.
Cross functional collaboration is being activated to enable swift mobilization and tangible, sustainable results in 4 areas below, and Green Shipping Corridors:
Through focused Workstreams, the Coalition:

Facilitates collaboration among industry stakeholders regionally and globally

Identifies, evaluates, encourages, and engages in commercial and technical pathways and projects that deliver significant near-term reductions in GHG emissions and lead to commercially viable net-zero emissions
Every part of the maritime value chain in North America plays a critical role in shaping the path to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and we all have a voice in the Coalition, not only to be part of the conversation, but to be part of the solution to these important issues.
Who We Are
Blue Sky Maritime Coalition has grown from 20 Founding members to 100 companies including coastal and deepwater operators, owners, charterers, financiers, fuel providers, OEM's, Investors, NGO's, Class Societies, Vessel designers, Technology companies, Law Firms, Ports, Trade Associations and Academics.
Together we recognize big challenges are rarely solved alone, and the need for systemic cross value chain collaboration.
MEMBERS
Blue Sky Maritime Coalition members are organizations from across the entire waterborne transportation value chain that are dedicated to decarbonization and sustainability.
Our members include ship builders, owners, and operators, academic and research institutions, charterers, classification societies, engine manufacturers, financial institutions and investors, fuel providers, government regulators, industry advisors, NGOs, port authorities, and other service providers.
Each member organization's senior leadership is dedicated to Blue Sky Maritime Coalition's mission and are engaged in our drive to achieve progress.
