David Grzebinski
Director and President and CEO of Kirby Corporation
David is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kirby Corporation, a founding member of the Coalition. Kirby is the largest operator of tank barges in the United States. Its fleet of barges, tugs and towboats operates in both inland and coastal waters. Kirby is also engaged in the distribution and service of large engines, gears, generators and related equipment for marine, energy, transportation and industrial uses. This positions Kirby well to be a leader in the transition to zero net GHG emissions. He became Kirby’s CEO in April 2014, after serving as Chief Financial Officer and President and Chief Operating Officer. Before joining Kirby, David served in operating and financial positions with FMC Technologies, FMC Corporation, and the Dow Chemical Company.
David holds a Master in Business Administration degree from Tulane University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Florida. He is an Eagle Scout. David also serves on the Coast Guard Foundation Board of Trustees and is a member of the Board of Directors for American Bureau of Shipping.
David enjoys spending free time with his wife, Elizabeth, and their three children.
