Ted Tregurtha

Ted is the President and CEO of Moran Holdings, a diverse north american martime and environmental services firm. In the maritime sector Moran is focused on harbor ship assist services and marine transportation of bulk products via a fleet of tugs and barges. In the environmental business Moran is focused on providing mission critical, cleaning, remediation, construction, and emergency response services to both maritime and shoreside sectors.
Ted began his business career in commercial banking and technology. Over the past 30 years, Ted has held various positions in international shipping and at Moran where he has been President for the past 20 years. Ted has been an active participant and supporter of numerous industry organizations during his career including American Waterways Operators (AWO) where he is a former chairman. AWO both advocates for the tug barge industry and facilitates strategic advances for the industry in areas such as safety and sustainability. Ted is also a long-time supporter of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and currently serves on the board of trustees. Woods Hole is a leading science and education institution focused on fundamental scientific and engineering research into all aspects of the global marine environment.
